What you get
Quotes stay tied to the moment they were said, so you can check them against the recording.
- A timestamped transcript; speaker labels only when supported by the configured provider for each turn
- Search across every interview in your library, with the timestamp of each match
- Original-language SRT/VTT; translation requires an enabled provider and supported pair
Supported inputs
VTI accepts uploaded interviews you own or are authorised to use:
- Video: .mp4 and .mov, up to 100 MB per file
- Audio: .mp3 and .wav, up to 100 MB per file
Rights and limitations
Interviews must be recorded with the consent of the people in them, and you must be authorised to process the recording.
If a provider supplies speaker labels, they may be wrong when voices overlap. The local test path does not guarantee speaker separation. Check every attribution before publishing.
Questions
Does VTI identify who is speaking by name?
Speaker labels are included only when supplied by the configured provider. Automatic speaker separation and identification by name are not guaranteed; check any attribution yourself.
Can I translate an interview?
Original-language SRT/VTT is available for completed transcripts. Translation requires an enabled provider and supported language pair; long-media translation is not ready.
