What a lecture needs
A lecture is long, one speaker holds most of it, and students return to a single point later. VTI is built around those three needs.
- A timestamped transcript so every passage links back to its moment in the recording
- Speaker labels only if the configured provider supplies them; the current local path does not guarantee them
- Original-language SRT/VTT; translated subtitles require an enabled provider and supported pair
Supported inputs
VTI accepts uploaded files you own or are authorised to use:
- Video: .mp4 and .mov, up to 100 MB per file
- Audio: .mp3 and .wav, up to 100 MB per file
Supported languages
These language codes are in the product contract; provider configuration determines actual availability:
- ENEnglish
- PTPortuguese
- ESSpanish
- DEGerman
- FRFrench
- RURussian
Rights and limitations
VTI works on lectures you own or are authorised to use. It does not bypass platform protections.
Automatic transcription can make mistakes, especially with technical terms. Review the transcript before you publish it to students.
Questions
Can I search a lecture for one topic?
Yes. Search runs over the transcript and returns the matching passages with their start and end timestamps, so you can jump to the moment the topic is discussed.
Do I need a plan to transcribe a lecture?
Transcription uses your plan's transcription minutes. Paid plans are not published yet. Early access is coming soon.
